Previous Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard, has impacted the club for endorsing Nemanja Matic's turn to Manchester United this mid year.
Lampard depicted the £40million offer of the Serbian as "interesting" and trusts that the Blues should have kept hold of the player, given his part in the club's title-winning season.
"'It was an abnormal one [to see Matic go to United]. He was such a tremendous piece of Chelsea's play a year ago close by Kante at the base. He let the wing-backs fly on and he enabled Pedro and Willian flexibility to go ahead," he told SportsMail.
Lampard likewise approached the club to reinforce their squad before the exchange window closes.
"You take a gander at the two groups there, and Chelsea have half of what the Arsenal squad is. In case we're discussing quality, despite everything I think Chelsea have that quality, yet when Conte was at Juventus he used to do a similar thing in the late spring. He used to push the club to purchase more players to advance.
"I believe he's worried as he will lose [Diego] Costa, they've lost Matic. They've acquired players yet I think he needs more since now they will be battling on the Champions League front," the previous England global included
