Vardy scores twice in Leicester victory

Britain striker Jamie Vardy struck twice as Leicester vanquished Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-1 on Friday in a pre-season neighborly yet new £25 million striker Kelechi Iheanacho fell off harmed.

Vardy scored in the 67th and 74th minutes after Thorgan Hazard had given the German side the lead with a fine complete from separate ahead of schedule in the second half.

Nigerian global striker Iheanacho, who marked from Manchester City on Thursday for £25 million, set up Vardy's champ however was substituted with damage soon after.

Leicester supervisor Craig Shakespeare said it was only a preparatory move.

"Last thing he required was another kick on it (his leg), so we played if safe," said Shakespeare
